Duration: 1st August 2006 &#8211; 15th September 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <strong><span style=\"font-size: small;\">1.5.Description:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.5.1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Scope:<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n<p> The purpose of the Project is to gather human resources and  materials under a national partnership to create new knowledge in the  field of cementitious grouting systems with application in  structure consolidation,  geotechnics and environmental engineering, i.e., structure  strengthening  and reinforcing, artificial cementation, rock sealing, slope  and flank              stabilisation, waste cementation, soil waterproofing etc.<br \/> The end result of the research will consist in the  development of  highly competitive cementitious grouting systems with high  performances.<br \/> <strong>The main objectives are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Development of ultrafine cementitious systems with a  narrow particle                size range, i.e., more than 65% particles below 16 microns<\/li>\n<li>Changing the rheological parameters of the cement pastes  by optimising                the use of additives and additions<\/li>\n<li>Developing of new composite grouting systems based on  ultrafine                cementitious systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Quality similar to that of the proposed grouting materials can  be found only in similar grouting materials manufactured at present in  Japan, Germany, the USA, or France.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.5.2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Objectives:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Creation of knowledge in science and technology in the  field of grouting materials<\/li>\n<li>Development of new ultrafine cementitious grouting  materials with                performances able to compete with other similar European  materials<\/li>\n<li>Foundation of a scientific cluster to ease application  of the obtained results in practice<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination of the obtained results.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>1.5.3 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Envisaged results:<\/span><\/strong> <\/p>\n<p> Development for the first time in Romania of grouting fluids  with              properties that are highly competitive at the European  level.
